As WVFC so often does we once again are making a positive impact on the community. This upcoming April we will be hosting the inaugural WVFC Capital Cup. As the largest club in the State of West Virginia we felt that no club was in a better position to host what we hope will become the premier soccer tournament in this region.

This tournament will be held April 6-7, 2019 at the brand new Shawnee Sports Complex in Dunbar, WV. The tournament will be open to both competitive and recreational teams not just within West Virginia but throughout the region. We are anticipating teams from cities like Charlotte, Columbus, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Lexington, Cleveland, Washington D.C., and everywhere in between to participate. To help organize this tournament we will be partnering with Quantum Sports, which has extensive experience hosting events such as this one.

Our goal for this first year is to have over 100 participating teams, and for that number to grow year after year. We strive as a club to be committed to the community and there is no better way to do this than to provide a premier soccer tournament for our community and the region.
