WVFC05 Girls advance to the Puma Blue Chip Championship

The WVFC05 girls team received an automatic bid to the 2018 Puma Blue Chip by winning the Blue Chip Youth Invitational during the fall of 2017. The team not only accepted the challenge to play up a year in the U14 bracket but they dominated their first showcase event. The team had 2 group wins and came from behind to beat a top ranked Ohio ECNL team which advanced them to the championship game. A tough 3-2 overtime loss made for an eventful but overall exciting experience for this group.

The Puma Blue Chip Showcase is the Premier College recruiting Showcase in the Midwest and one of the top in the country. The Blue Chip Showcase is played over 3 days and is only open to elite travel U14 - U19 teams.
